GIORDANO GIOVANETTI (1906-1973) Antique Oil Painting
signed at lower right and is undated, but likely dates to about the 1960's. The artist was born in Ancona, Italy and by 1925 had graduated from the Rome Academy. Thence began a restless period, the artist moving around Europe: in 1927 he shared a studio in Paris with the son of noted artist Giuseppe Cherubini; moved on to Austria, Hungary, Poland, and Romania. He began to successfully illustrate a number of books, then oil painting of female figures, and landscapes.
